Well it is snowing again. This weekend has been a great weekend for skiing. One of Kim's friends from University (Heidi) went skiing with us today. As well as we shot a little more video so I will try and have it up pretty soon. All in all it was a good weekend.

Well my big head of hair is starting to be a bit of a pain. IT is always in my face and I think it is starting to turn into a big grease mass that is not all that attractive. So instead I think that I am going to transform it into dreads. Nice short clean cut ones that you can wear to business meetings. Any thoughts?

Well... I had everything on the bus. I was ready to go on the ski tour and.... the local ski shop called and said they needed me again. Bah. There goes my ski tour with the crazy Norwegians. Instead I taught Danish people to ski. They don't even have hills in Denmark. I found out that there tallest "Mountain" is 120 meters or 360 feet. Oh well, there is still lots of winter left and I did have a good time. It just wasn't what I expected to be doing.

Kim's birthday is rapidly approaching. It is actually next week March 3rd. Just in case you didn't know or you forgot or you don't really know her. Feel free to send her letters, emails, small packages, large packages and so on. Her email is kimberlyteeuwsen@hotmail.com or if the letter package route is the one you prefer our address is on the contact page. She doesn't look at the web page to often so I am sure it will still be a surprise.

Well the crazy Norwegians are here again. It is kind of like being at home. They all want to ski in the powder, do big jumps or big cliffs. One of them whipped of a double back flip on the first day.

Tomorrow we do a ski tour over the glacier and assuming that I don't have to teach skiing in one of the local ski schools I hope to be going. (side note: I had to teach skiing at a different ski school today, because the Norwegians brought their own instructors and the local shop need help.) The ski tour usually consists of lots of powder skiing and seeing as we are with the Norwegians I am sure that they will be stopping to make jumps as well as other crazy Norwegian type things. If all goes to plan I will bring the video camera and hopefully have some good footage for you all to check out.

Another side note this time about the Norwegians. It seems that they are all involved in extreme sports and that there is a school for each extreme sport from motorcross to skiing to .... At any rate after you go to the extreme sports school you can get some additional training as a teacher and then your career is teaching extreme sports to others that want to teach extreme sports and so goes the cycle. Now I am sure that there are opportunities in North America, but it doesn't seem to be quite as easy to do as it does there. At anyrate I think I know what I want to do when we get back to Canada. :-)

I did a bit of a reword on this post as Dan said it didn't make any sense. I am still not sure it makes a whole lot of sense.

Currently there is only one staff member that is still sporting a moustache and he is gone for the next 3 weeks. While he is away almost all of the remaining staff male staff members (and female if they are able) will be growing moustaches. Now there is a common belief that I can not grow facial hair so we will have to see if it holds true and seeing that most of you are not here to enjoy the event I will be posting pictures of my moustache progression. In addition due to the sure sexiness of a moustache I will also be growing a goatee so as not to drive the ladies to wild.

Here is my growth after one week.

Well yesterday it looked like there was a forest fire, but it was actually sand from a sand storm in the Sahara. It looked pretty crazy. Unfortunately we couldn't get a good picture, but it will happen again and when it does we will snag some pics. Supposedly the sand get so thick in the air that the snow gets sand colored swirls.

Now I have received some sarcastic comments from some of you that think that ski instructing is just a slack job and that it really isn't really a job. Last week we had to teach American flight attendants to ski. Now there is a real challenge.

By the way Bonnie would be disappointed if I didn't point out that her lips look amazing and that none of her lipstick has come off.

Every week we take the groups Rodelling. Rodelling is basically just tobogganing, but we go for 7 killometeres (about 4 miles) down a mountain around tight corners at the same time as a hundred other people. Maybe you have seen one of the movies we have on the site. Often rodeling ends up in at least a few injuries from broken ankles to twisted knees and so on. Last night thankfully we had no major injuries, but wow did we have some crashes. When particular individual never did figure out how to steer his rodel and would get it going straight, build up tremendous speed, and then crash into the wall over pumps through people you name it he did it. His nephew was originally riding with him until the first major crash when he started riding with me. One of his crashed included launching his rodel down over the edge of trail through the trees across the ski slope down another steep hill and into a tree. Thankfully my tracking skills are second to none and I managed to find this broken torn apart rodel sitting in this tree. We have never actually damaged one of the rodels before, but his intent was to ensure that no one would ever ride his rodel again. When searching for his rodel I left him my rodel and told him to keep going with his nephew. When I returned they were still there. His nephew refused to ride with him and so the night continued. I mean after all we were only half way down. If only I had one of the digital cameras so I could share with you the sights I saw that night.

Well things are going good. I must say that I enjoy ski instructing just a bit more then working in the kitchen. Today I was teaching my group short turns and because there is a young (15) guy in my group we did a few jumps. Man I laughed hard. Nothing like teaching 50 year old men to jump. LOL We also skied down a bobsled style course which turned out to be quite entertaining at least. The rule in my group is you have to ski where I ski so it always proves to be interesting.

Well Kim and I feel that we have been working quite hard these past few months and that we deserve a vacation in between teaching school and counseling in spring school. We have decided to go to Tunisia. Below is a picture of where we will be staying.

Well I just got a very interesting email from Kim's brother....

"hey sex kitten, what's up? How's the old knee? That's good. I heard Kim's
better than you now. (ohhhh..i got you good! how does it feel there, big
guy?) so anywho, i was suppose to go skiing with keith this week but I
bailed out. But that won't stop the ski video comeback of Stephen Campbell,
skier extraordinaire, I'll show you doubters what I can do (by the way, to
quote Drew Barreth -- "hey steve, i hear when it comes to skiing, kim really
kicked your ass"). But how do I post it? You could always give me posting
rights to your website, to add a little of the steve charm. or I could talk
to dan or whatever to post it. How's austria? any hot fraulines that want
a good strong canadian boy? No? maybe I should change how I approach this.
how's this: "any respectable young women that would appreciate the company
of a caring young christian fellow?" is that better? Which one should I
use? I'll take your advice, casanova, because when it comes to chicks, you
seem to be pretty on the ball. Anyways, just thought I'd give you a write,
say high to kimbone"

So it is Family Day in Alberta. The government has been so nice to give us a day off from working to spend the day with the ones that we love. Unfortunately my family has all decided to defect and run away. My big brother Jer and his wife Kim decided to go and hang out in Austria, Steve ran away to Tiawan to try and teach the locals english, Keith said enough of this I am heading to Banff to go skiing, and my parents went dog sledding in Canmore... I tell you, life is pretty rough for them! Well I hope that they are enjoying themselves. I love my family and the fact that they are so adventurous, it sure makes life more interesting. Even my mom continues to surprise me, for example last summer she did a 40km backpack trip with us. I sure do love my mom!

Well so not much to do today, kinda bored... so what do when you are bored with not much to do.... well here is an idea make websites about you friends with you roommate (well Craig did most of the work... okay like 90% but the 10% of input I put in was really good ;) ). To start here is a dedication to Dustyn! Hope you all enjoy it, especially you Dustyn.

Last night I went ice skating at Hawrelak Park with Craig and a bunch of people that he knows. Skating is good fun, and a great winter activity. I actually find it quite relaxing cruising around on the ice, feeling the cool winter breeze on your face. Ahh.. good times. Well at any rate Craig and I were trying to develop new things to be incorporated with skating and what we came up with is break dance skating.

I am sure that it is going to take off, it is only a matter of time.

Movies... well we are working on our next eXtreme ski video, but in the mean time we are looking for some ideas for a regular video. Say a drama or a documentary like "The Tough Life: growing up in a middle class family." Let's have some ideas.

Went tobogganing last night, it was good times. Went with a bunch of the Skate Church staff volunteers. There is nothing quite like flying uncontrollably down an icy slope.

Well look at those Oilers. They aren't doing as well as some would hope, but I just found out the following...

"This year, the Edmonton Oilers have taken over the top spot, being ranked #1 in the NHL by hockey fans everywhere, and #8 overall. Most impressively, however, the Edmonton Oilers have been rated the overall #1 Bang For Your Buck in all of professional sports! - ESPN SPORTSNATION Rankings"

Well what do ya know.

Hello Stranger! Well I have been told that I do not post enough on this site, and really I think that is probably true. So here is something, even if it is full of nothing. I guess I wish I had something exciting of witty to share but alas all I have today is this photo:

when the street light shines

I like this photo and find that evokes a peaceful and content feeling within. Does this remind you of anything or anywhere??

Well that is all for today, I am going to try and be more diligent in my postings, I guess we can only wait to see what will happen.

Cheers!

Well I am finally back on skis. Just over 2 and a half weeks without skiing. It went good. I am not experiencing any extreme pain at least.

Also this last weekend was Brooke's birthday. We were suppose to go Karaokeing, but instead we played sardines in the main house followed by spoons. The last time I remember playing sardines was in Junior High and it was only so you could get close to girls in the dark. :-) This time the only girls that found me screamed and ran away. Bit of a let down until my wife found me. LOL

Well I have update some more pics. Some Scenery and just Random Pictures of Tauernhof. I have also added a new album that includes a few pics of our Beetle, which is for sale. It's a fun car, but we are here and unable to use it and the money from the car could be better used on our trip.

Next week I will also be skiing so hopefully I can put up some more action shots. As well we are suppose to be going touring soon so I will see if we can't put together a quick video with some highlights.

Well it is now spring time here. I guess from now on it is often above 0 at the bottom of the hill where the school is located. Last night it rained and rained and rained and rained, but at least it isn't -40. :-)

Talk to you later. I am heading out to work on my tan.

Well after I posted "Kim the movie" I received my first threatening email. From you guessed it her brother Steve. It goes something like this...

"you don't want none of this, tough guy. Don't get caught in the storm."

It is difficult to know what to say, but I'll be here waiting. :-)
